Jason Derulo to release SELF-TITLED Album, Through WBR

Red-hot pop sensation Jason Derulo — the first artist signed to Warner Bros. Records’ joint venture with multi-platinum songwriter and producer J.R. Rotem’s label Beluga Heights — will release his eagerly anticipated, self-titled debut album on Beluga Heights/Warner Bros. Records on March 2nd, 2010.

A gifted, genre-hopping songwriter who has created tracks for a multitude of artists such as Lil Wayne, Sean Kingston, Pitbull, P. Diddy, Danity Kane, and Iyaz (the five-week No. 1 “Replay”), Derulo’s album reflects his love for all different types of music with an uncategorizable blend of pop, rock, electronic, and R&B elements that showcases this exciting newcomer’s many talents. “It’s definitely a music lover’s album,” the Miami-born 20-year-old says. “It reflects all my different influences, but it’s deeply rooted in pop.”

“My vision for the album was to make music that would impact the world,” Derulo says. “And by that I mean that music is a healing thing. When you play your favorite song, you can forget all your troubles for three minutes. I want to provide those getaway moments for people.” To that end, Derulo spent eight months in the studio, often working 20-hour days, to record more than 300 songs that he narrowed down to the nine that appear on the album. “I wanted to make sure I had something special that would endure and sound timeless,” Derulo says.

The track-listing for Jason Derulo is as follows:
“Whatcha Say”
“Ridin’ Solo”
“In My Head”
“The Sky’s The Limit”
“What If”
“Love Hangover”
“Encore”
“Fallen”
“Blind”

THE AUDITION are MTV BUZZWORTHY!

THE AUDITION sat down with MTV's Buzzworthy Blog to reveal some unknown facts about the band. The interview covers everything from the upcoming album, Great Danger, to fascinating tales from the road!
"Chicago band The Audition channel the mighty noise and bright melodies of their Midwestern forefathers Cheap Trick with great aplomb. Their 2009 Self-Titled Album (clever, clever) is a relentlessly pleasing slab of harmonies, distortion, emotion and volume in the red. And with their new album, Great Danger due out on March 16th, we can expect more of the same.

The Audition sat down with us recently for a quick chat on an episode of "The 5." Guitarist Seth Johnson gives the reason why the band produced Great Danger themselves (apparently they took their recording budget and blew it on roulette in Vegas). Singer Danny Stevens recounts a particularly special Bone Thugs-n-Harmony show he witnessed in Detroit, which unintentionally led to the formation of The Audition. We also get a funny anecdote about drummer Ryan O'Connor "borrowing" a golf cart at a music festival.

Hear about all that and more in the below episode of "The 5," and while you're at it check out their video for "Warm Me Up," from their 2008 album, Champion."

Push Play is NOT Breaking Up. 100% True Story, Confirmed By Push Play's Management.
Posted by admin 31 Jan 2010 • 2 Comments
With all the 'break up' rumors circling around Push Play we reached out to Push Play's management to get the FULL story. The band is not breaking up. Read the full story below.

"Here's what's happening. They are taking a BREAK, not breaking up. Derek got a full scholarship to college which he was allowed to defer for a year. He got a letter from the school stating he had to use it or lose it so he's going back to school to complete his education. Steve got a letter from Fordham stating he would lose his placement because his year of deferment was up so he went back to college last week. They are taking courses now so that they can finish, get their degree and then resume with Push Play. The band will perform again together sometime in the future and will perform one offs whenever possible. Nick enrolled in college as welll. CJ decided to tell Fordham University he wasn't going back to college. He is instead writing songs and throwing himself into becoming a better performer.
Fancorps will continue to exist and promote their album and singles during the guys' college time and then switch back to

Push Play once the guys regroup. The Push Play myspace, facebook and twitters will remain active and the guys will continue to comment while in school and there might be some college shows they will do together. It's not over, it's just a break(a hiatus) and they will ultimately once again perform and hopefully have a HUGE comeback!"

In another heated date of the Vans Warped Tour - Bryce Avary of 'The Rocket Summer' was kind enough to spend some time with us, chill out, and catch up on what 'The Rocket Summer' has been up to! The Rocket Summer will be performing on the full length, two months Warped Tour. Be sure to check out The Rocket Summer on the Vans Warped Tour this summer! Before the press started, I hadn't arranged to set anything up with Bryce aka 'The Rocket Summer', but as I was approaching the press tent - i saw Bryce sitting there and asked if he had some time to speak.
