With a larger than life sound, HOT CHELLE RAE has exploded onto the music scene, with their smash debut album, "Lovesick Electric". While adding their own flavor to a popular pop-rock music scene, it's the catchy, swift guitar rifts and electrifying drum beats, that make HOT CHELLE RAE stick out in the crowd. Recently, they just got off of tour with Disney Channel superstar, Emily Osment - and our currently on a mini-tour alongside, The Rocket Summer. As well, the band will be performing some spot dates Owl City and Cobra Starship, and will be performing at this year's VANS Warped Tour. We had the opportunity to chat with lead vocalist, R.K. Follese of Hot Chelle Rae.
"A lot of people think that just because you're in music, that it's just all about fun to play. At night, that's what its about - but actually it's a lot of work. You know, running your own merch, driving everywhere, and doing your equipment - it's very, very tiring mentally." Says R.K. Follese of Hot Chelle Rae on what people wouldn't expect of the music industry. After speaking with Follese for over ten minutes, I gained the sense that the guys of Hot Chelle Rae truly do love every minute of what they're doing and are grateful for everything that's come their way so far. With hard work, this band has become more like a 'family' now - as Follese told me. To those of you who haven't heard Hot Chelle Rae's electrifying, up-beat music yet - Follese described their music as "Pretty much straight-up pop rock, with some dance influence. We definitely play some dance tunes for sure." Follese was sure to add that he believes that what separates Hot Chelle Rae from other acts in the industry is their "...commitment to the craft of songwriting.""
While on the topic of songwriting, I was sure to ask Follese where Hot Chelle Rae best tries to find their inspirations for their songs. Responding, Follese said: "The inspiration kind of finds you. You can hear it in just a sentence someone says, or you can get it from a feeling when you're out playing a show. There's really no boundaries to where it comes from. It really comes from anywhere.""
With a huge year ahead, Hot Chelle Rae better take a deep breath and buckle up for the ride. This is absolutely going to be an exciting year for them. Finishing up the chat with him, Follese was sure to add, "We have the greatest fans in the whole world, and we love them - and I love them. And they make all our dreams possible.".

With the insane promotional tour schedule Justin Bieber has had over the past two weeks or so, he headed over to The Chelsea Lately show for his next appearance. Always being the flirt, Bieber turned on his 'game' as he headed out to be interviewed by the one and only, Chelsea Handler. Before the appearance, Handler had had Ludacris on her show (who raps in Bieber's single, "Baby"), and they spoke about Bieber. After watching this, Bieber was sure to 'tweet' to Handler saying "I knew we had a thing. 2morrow? pick u up at 7?? haha". Handler decided to bring this up at their interview, in which Bieber only flirted more. Too cute!
Justin Bieber's album, "My World 2.0" is on sale NOW. Be sure to purchase your very own copy!
