Feel Forever Young with Cash Cash on The Robots in High-Tops Tour

"The idea of being forever young is just awesome, and listening to this song reminds me of so many amazing memories, most of which were created in this band!" says Cash Cash frontman Jean Paul Makhlouf of his band’s recently released and refreshed cover of Alphaville’s hit song. Those moments include recording a full CD for a major label, hearing their song on the radio, touring the U.S. and abroad--and especially to meeting the growing mob of Cash Cash supporters across the world.

With a firm grasp on the electro-pop throne, Makhlouf and his bandmates (Alex Makhlouf - keyboards, Sam Frisch - bass, Anthony Villacari - drums) are about to decorate another page in their internal scrapbooks--embarking on their first headlining tour this spring.

The Robots in High-Tops Tour brings Cash Cash--New Jersey’s most danceable export--through the east coast and beyond. And yes, there will be robots. And high-tops.

Don’t miss AOL Radio’s Top 10 chart-topper and mtvU’s The Freshmen video contest winning song, “Party In Your Bedroom,” among the tunes from the band’s debut album, Take It To the Floor (Universal Republic), as they come to life on stage. You may have to battle throngs of screaming girls to get a glimpse of the action, but it will be worth the perseverance.

Cash Cash hint they may debut songs from a forthcoming EP, which Makhlouf describes as “pretty wild” feel good anthems inspired by “a little bit of love and dirtiness” that push the envelope but hold onto the signature Cash Cash sound.

WOE, IS ME SIGNS TO VELOCITY RECORDS/RISE RECORDS

April 12, 2010 - Emerging from the rubble of various local and signed bands, Atlanta agro rockers Woe, Is Me (W.I.M) have just signed with Velocity Records/Rise Records, joining Abandon All Ships on the fledgling label. Building itself on an ever expanding experimental level of musicianship, the seven piece band packs a powerful punch that can easily be felt behind its catchy choruses and punchy breakdowns.

The band will be heading into the studio April 28 thru June 11 with producer Cameron Mizell (I See Stars, Oceana, Of Machines) at the Orlando Chango Studios to begin work on its debut record entitled Number[s]. Currently garnering a lot of MySpace plays for its quirky, yet blistering, cover of Ke$ha’s “Tik Tok!” expect these guys to deliver the goods.

Formed in September 2009, the Atlanta ‘down south’ band runs the gamut of styles, from R&B to Metalcore, to even classical. The powerful seven piece band is made up of singer Tyler C., screamer Michael B., guitarists Tim S. and Kevin H., bassist Cory F., drummer Austin T., and keyboardist Ben F.

On the strength of a three-song demo the band recorded with producer Cameron Mizell, they were able to land management and eventually a record deal. Things just keep falling place for Woe, Is Me, as the band consistently proves it has what it takes to break down doors and win everyone over.

After the recording of Number[s] look for the band to hit the road on the upcoming Artery Foundation Tour. You’ve been warned, lookout for Woe, Is Me.

THE ROCKET SUMMER
In another heated date of the Vans Warped Tour - Bryce Avary of 'The Rocket Summer' was kind enough to spend some time with us, chill out, and catch up on what 'The Rocket Summer' has been up to! The Rocket Summer will be performing on the full length, two months Warped Tour. Be sure to check out The Rocket Summer on the Vans Warped Tour this summer! Before the press started, I hadn't arranged to set anything up with Bryce aka 'The Rocket Summer', but as I was approaching the press tent - i saw Bryce sitting there and asked if he had some time to speak. Without hesitation we set something up, and I have to say he is probably one of the most 'real', 'down-to-Earth' guys' you will ever meet. He's truly a sweetheart and he shows it within his music. Be sure to check out 'The Rocket Summer'!
