Chase Coy Announces Tour To Support June 1st Debut!
April 28, 2010 - New York - A rising musical talent, 19-year-old singer-songwriter Chase Coy will release his major label debut, Picturesque, on June 1st through Universal Republic. In support of Picturesque’s release, Coy will join fellow singer/songwriter Jason Reeves on a number of Midwest tour dates beginning in Cleveland, OH on May 4th before kicking off a 14-city U.S. tour with Decca Recording artist Brendan James on June 1st.
With its acoustic-guitar driven, emotionally resonant songs, Picturesque displays Coy’s gift for classic coming-of-age storytelling and engaging songwriting. iTunes recently named Coy one of the best new singer-songwriters and featured the track “If The Moon Fell Down” on an iTunes Essentials Rising Stars compilation. A new version of the track will be on the album, recorded as a duet with Grammy-winner Colbie Caillat.
Born in Greenwood, Indiana, Coy began writing and recording in his parents’ basement at the age of 16. “Songwriting is how I get my mind straight when I feel like I can’t handle everything that’s being thrown at me. It has helped me to maintain a sense of optimism,” says Coy. As both writer and producer of Picturesque, Coy has filled the album with that same hopeful, uplifting sentiment giving listeners a deeply personal collection of melodic gems. Coy’s songwriting creates a richly detailed portrait of love that remains intimate while still having universal appeal.
Picturesque’s lush imagery is enhanced by the album’s instrumentation as Coy sought to expand the musical arrangements beyond those typically found on an acoustic pop album. The result is a warm blend of finger-picked acoustic guitar, piano, field organ, upright bass, and strings (cello, violin, viola, and mandolin). For mixing, Coy enlisted veteran engineer Michael Brauer who has worked with Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Coldplay, and John Mayer. The result is an expansive, yet deeply personal, album.
Coy released his first EP, Dear Juliet, in a series of digital iTunes collections in November 2007 followed by an independent full-length, Look How Far We’ve Come, in May 2008. In that same year, Coy released his second EP, Goodbyes and Autumn Skies, and his third, December, came in April 2009. Along the way, his fan base has continued to grow as Coy has consistently earned a slot on the iTunes Top 100 singer-songwriter chart. In March of this year, Coy’s catalog tracks were compiled into a single digital album available at iTunes, entitled Where the Road Parts, which replaced his early albums and CDs in anticipation of his major label release.

The Used Part Ways With Management; but are recording new album!
According to the band's myspace blog, The Used had to cancel a strand of tour dates, due to parting with their previous management. Not to worry though, the band is currently going to head into the studio soon to record a brand new album. The blog went as follows:
"It is with great regret that we have been forced to cancel our upcoming appearances in Europe, UK and Russia, due to unforeseen circumstances resulting in a parting of ways with our management team. We deeply apologize to our fans who were looking forward to these show. We will reschedule these shows as soon as possible. In the meantme, we have begun writing and recording for our upcoming album. We look forward to returning with a new album and tour dates soon.

April 29, 2010 - Hopeless Records announced today that while still going Straight To DVD, All Time Low's new live offering is going to be making a one time theatrical stop in a fancy Hollywood setting to give friends, family and some lucky fans an early look at this live performance and documentary. The red carpet event will be the world's first look at Straight To DVD set to be released by Hopeless Records on May 25th. The event will feature a screening of the 90 minute feature.
Southern California fans will have two ways to join All Time Low at this very exclusive premiere. The first and best way to get a ticket is to visit surrounding Hot Topic locations in Glendale, Burbank or Hollywood and pre-order a deluxe copy of Straight To DVD. HT+1 Members that pre-order the DVD will receive a free ticket to the event that includes a special Q&A session with the band following the screening. Space is extremely limited. Purchase must be made at one of the specified Hot Topic locations only.
.This event will benefit our good friends at Invisible Children, who work to help end the longest running war in Africa. They will be onsite spreading important information about how fans can get involved in this great cause.
