Spend "An Evening With THE MAINE"!
Sire/Action Theory Records artists The Maine have announced their first-ever nationwide headlining tour.
“An Evening with The Maine,” presented by Alternative Press magazine, kicks off July 7th in San Francisco, CA and runs through August 27th in Mesa, AZ. The tour will support the July 13th release of their major label debut album Black & White. The Howard Benson-produced Black & White is the follow-up to their 2008 Fearless Records debut Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop.
“An Evening with The Maine” will be a unique event that allows fans to connect with the band on a personal level. Each show will feature a 90-minute set from the Arizona five-piece, followed by an audience-wide meet & greet and photo session for any fan wishing to say hello to the band. This Century will open on the tour, and there will be special guests, giveaways, contests and prizes every night.
"There aren't a lot of bands that have a deep, one-on-one connection with their fans like The Maine do,” says Alternative Press founder Mike Shea. “These guys work awfully hard writing catchy, long-lasting material for their albums, giving their fan base memorable songs that they'll have on their iPods for another generation to come.” Of AP’s decision to present “An Evening with The Maine,” he continues, “Being former AP Tour alumni, when they asked us to become involved we felt like it was a family reunion. We're so happy to be involved with this band on this unique small-club tour this summer.”
The Maine has been writing and recording and touring nonstop since they were barely out of high school. Their songs have garnered a collective 77 million plays on MySpace and they have sold 113k albums, 674k digital singles and racked up 1.5 million views on YouTube. The band has been a part of four consecutive sold out tours and spent last summer as a marquee artist on the entire length of the 2009 Van’s Warped Tour.

Avenged Sevenfold To Release NEW Single "Nightmare"!
Southern California’s Avenged Sevenfold will release their explosive new single, "Nightmare, to radio on Monday, May 17th. The track, which will be available from all digital service providers the following day, is the first single from the band’s upcoming fifth studio album, which was produced by Mike Elizondo (Dr. Dre, Eminem) and mixed by noted engineer Andy Wallace. The album is due for release this summer on Warner Bros. Records.
Avenged Sevenfold achieved worldwide success with their platinum 2005 breakthrough City Of Evil. The album featured the wildly popular single “Bat Country.” The band quickly became known for their spectacular live shows and continues to sell out arenas worldwide. THE SUMMER SET: Performing At CBS College Sports Network's Alt Games, Saturday 5/15
Fresh off their appearance on The AP Tour 2010, Scottsdale, Arizona's The Summer Set will headline the closing celebration for CBS Sports Network's Alt Games: College Action Sports Championships at San Diego's Wave House on Saturday, May 15th at 7pm. A limited number of tickets are available online for free (online fee does apply) and at the Sound Wave Box Office, open Friday - Sunday 12noon-6pm. Alternatively, fans can watch the CBS Alt Games live on Saturday, May 15th at Wave House and receive a free ticket (limited supply) to the show later that day. CBS College Sports Network's Alt Games are an annual collegiate event similar to the X Games. College students from across the nation have competed in extreme sport events from beach volleyball and snowboarding, to wakeboarding, ultimate frisbee and flowboarding for the past five years. San Diego plays host to the wakeboarding and flowboarding competition this year from May 14 - 16.
The competition and closing finale featuring The Summer Set will be filmed for airing on CBS Sports on Saturday, June 19 (5:00 PM EST) with Olympic Gold Medalist and Vancouver Olympic analyst Jonny Moseley returning to host the event.
