We caught up with Evan Taubenfeld - singer, songwriter - discussing everything from his music, to his fans, to THE BACKSTREET BOYS! Head to: www.evantaubenfeld.com for more!
Taubenfeld - a multi-instrumentalist who has also written and produced music for such up-and-coming artists as rapper Tyga, hip-hop group The Pack, and Japanese pop group Oreskaband, as well as for several MTV shows including Kaya and Pageant Place — is stepping out to show the world what he can do on his own by releasing his debut solo album, Welcome to the Blacklist Club.
Taubenfeld has also created a fan community he calls The Blacklist Club. "I wanted everyone who has ever connected with my music to feel like they are part of something bigger than my album," he says. "It's like we are all a part of this together. I want every kid who likes what I do to be recognized and become a valuable member of The Blacklist Club. From Day One, I've always wanted to make a difference in people's lives. I'm not a philanthropist, and I'm too much of a coward to be a soldier or a missionary. I always thought that if I could make somebody's day better through one of my songs, that would give me a reason for existing on this planet."
All Time Low has been preparing for the release of their up-coming CD/DVD titled, "Straight To DVD" by doing as much press as possible. Yesterday, May 24th, 2010 - bassist of band SLIPKNOT - Paul Gray was found dead at about 10:50 a.m. Monday by an employee at TownePlace Suites, 8800 Northpark Drive in Urbandale, police said. "There was no evidence of foul play in Gray's death, but the investigation is ongoing, police said. An autopsy, including toxicology tests, is scheduled to be done today, Urbandale police Sgt. Dave Disney said." Gray, who was born in Los Angeles, was one of two Slipknot members not born in Iowa. Gray and his wife, Brenna, were expecting a child, according to friends of Gray's.
Heading back to 2003, Gray had had a history of drug abuse - in which in June of 2003 - he was arrested after he crashed his Porsche into a Des Moines motorist at Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway and Carpenter Avenue, while under the influence.
