Sleeping With Sirens has announced that Jessica Ess of The Atlantic will be featured on Sleeping With Siren’s upcoming acoustic album. After announcing the addition of Jessica, Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens added that, “The girls a star! If you didn’t know that already, you will soon.“ 

Sleeping With Sirens is currently featured on this month’s cover of Alternative Press Magazine, which you can purchase today. More importantly, the band will be on the VANS Warped Tour this summer for the first time.

Ashley Tisdale can now be seen taking over Time Square in New York City, NY. After conducting a photo shoot for Ocean Pacific along with Matt Lanter, Sarah Hyland, and Austin Stowell, the clothing company decided to plaster the brand over Time Square with the addition of this billboard. Along with Ashley, Sarah Hyland is pictured in the billboard. Ocean Pacific captured an image, as seen above, of the billboard currently residing in New York.

The original photo shoot took the actors to the beach, where they played around in the sand, ate ice cream and roller skated. While conducting the photo shoot, OP captured a behind the scenes video for viewers, which can be viewed.

ALM PROMO: So, please start off by introducing yourself.

AT: Yeah! I’m Adam Tyler and I’m a singer/songwriter out of LA and my debut album, Shattered Ice is out now.

ALM PROMO: You’ve been in the city for a bit now, what are you feelings about the East Coast?

AT: I love it. I actually am thinking about moving to NY. I can’t make any rash decisions just yet, but I find NY to be really inspiring. I was just in Miami actually for Ultra and a Winter Music Conference, so I’ve kind of fallen in love with the East Coast.

ALM PROMO: Earlier in the week, you had a performance in NYC. How did the performance go?

AT: That was great! It was a little collaboration. I performed a remix of “Like A Drug” in New York and it was quite different. I usually do the radio edit, but this was in a Top 40 type of club. It was fun to do that version of “Like A Drug” and the club was packed, so it was definitely a lot of fun.

ALM PROMO: Do you think you’ll start performing the remix more or do you prefer the radio-edit version?

AT: I love all the remixes, actually – but I think for performing I like the original version. It showcases my style better, because it’s more cohesive with the sound on the album. In some of the remixes – the beats are different, so the choreography is different. With the radio edit, I can still do all of the choreography.

ALM PROMO: Since you have various remixes of the song and are a electronic artist, are you involved in the production end of things?

AT: Yeah! For “Like A Drug” I was there for the mixing session. There’s a few on the album that I helped production wise: I co-produced them. I am extremely hands on with all of my music and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

ALM PROMO: I read that earlier on in your career that your dream seemed to be fading away. What gave you the motivation to continue pursuing this dream of yours?

AT: I was in a boy band – and they were quite urban – and I think it was just finding that love of music again. I’ve always been in love with electronic and pop music and dance music. It was kind of just starting the solo project and getting a fresh look on the music I was doing, and getting across my point of view.

ALM PROMO: Ah, so since you were in a boy band what do you think about this whole ‘boy bands coming back’ thing (One Direction, The Wanted, etc.)?

AT: It’s pretty cool that we’re having boy bands come back, and it’s pretty cool that the main ones – The Wanted and One Direction – are both British. I’m a huge fan of British pop music and I always have been ever since I was a little kid. Yeah! I’m excited to see people embrace pop music and that type of style so openly in the U.S.. I haven’t heard much of One Direction, but I’m a huge fan of the single.

ALM PROMO: When you look back and question how or why you got into music, is there one person who stands out as the most influential in your life concerning music?

AT: Oh, that’s a good question! I would say probably..Madonna. As an artist, she has gone on for so many years and have reinvented herself. I just think she’s fantastic. I would probably say Madonna.

ALM PROMO: Tell us about your music. There’s so many artists out there today, why should people check it out?

AT: I would say what makes my music unique is that it’s my point of view. I would like to think that my voice and point of view are special in their own way. I do try to put a little emotion and make it a little deep. I think people view pop music as shallow, so I do try to deepen it up and make it emotional-like pop.

ALM PROMO: Speaking of, what do you think about the misconceptions pop artists face? Many people think they can’t really sing or are just enhanced.

AT: You know, for the artists that are very serious – I think it’s annoying. It’s just kind of assumed that if someone plays electronic music that they can’t sing because they’re using effects to hide the talent. For me, I wanted to make sure to include a couple of acoustic songs, just to showcase that I do love singing and that I can sing. I can understand why people make that assumption, but I’m trying to prove to everyone that just because I’m electronic music it doesn’t mean I’m hiding. It’s just an effect that I love.

ALM PROMO: Going back to Shattered Ice, what about the album are you most proud of?

AT: Another good question! Honestly? Everything. It’s my debut album so it’s my first release and it’s the first time I ever seriously wrote lyrics. I’ve been writing lyrics ever since I was ten, but those songs are legitimately just terrible [laughs]. I’m just proud of myself that I’m able to make such a cohesive album.

ALM PROMO: Let’s say you get to go back in time and talk to your ten year old self, what advice would you give yourself?

AT: Hmm! That’s a good question too. I guess I would say, “Don’t get discouraged by anyone that says they don’t like your music”. Towards the beginning, anytime I got negative feedback I’d start to question exactly what was wrong with my music, but now I have a lot better understanding that you can’t please everyone in the world.

ALM PROMO: As far as the rest of the year, what are your plans?

AT: Ah, the rest of the year…it’s going to be quite busy. I’ve got some shows in midwest and Spain this summer, which I’m really excited about. I’m just going to be performing as much as I can. I’ve got some new songs I’m working on, so I’m still writing all the time.

At approximately 7:50 PM EST  TONIGHT – MTV will premiere Justin Bieber’s highly anticipated music video for his current single, “Boyfriend”.

If you’re anxious to watch High School Musical alum, Ashley Tisdale, get Punk’d tonight, then you’ll be ecstatic to know that MTV has exclusively released a sneak peak to Tisdale’s episode (which can be seen above!). Something tells me that Mickey Mouse wouldn’t approve of that language! 

All kidding aside, Tisdale’s episode is set to air tonight at 10 EST/9 CST on MTV tonight.

This won’t be Tisdale’s first time appearing on Punk’d. Back when Ashton Kutcher hosted the television series, not only did she act as an accomplice in punking her close friend and High School Musical costar, Zac Efron (who they also got for a second time this season!), but she was also Punk’d herself. Just this past week, MTV aired their episode of punking her other costar, Vanessa Hudgens. Looks like MTV really loves getting the High School Musical cast.

This fall, Asking Alexandria will be hitting the road alongside Chelsea Grin and Miss May I. 

Though the tour isn’t all too long, all three bands seemingly are stoked for their trip to South America. Wellington will be performing a free concert tonight in Hollywood! The concert will begin promptly at 4:00 pm at 6465 Sunset Blvd. LA! The concert is apparently a major deal to the band, as they will be filming a music video at the concert as well.

Even if the name ‘Wellington’ doesn’t seem familiar at first – the name Ricky Ficarelli may very well do so. Ficarelli has built a name for himself by utilizing Youtube, and in effect has formed his own band titled Wellington. Just recently, Wellington completed their run on the Digi Tour – which featured many Youtube stars alike (Dave Days, DeStorm, Asher Monroe, etc.).

This summer, Wellington is gearing up to head on their own summer tour, but have yet to release dates just yet.

Since joining Youtube in early 2011 – Beatty has launched his own music career, much like the likes of Justin Bieber, Christina Grimmie, and Cody Simpson. His video have accumulated nearly 27 million total views and he currently stands at a little over 216,000 subscribers.
