While on their very own headlining tour, we had the opportunity to speak with both Joel Kanitz and Sean Silverman of THIS CENTURY. Check out our exclusive interview above. The band’s headlining tour concludes on August 6th, and although their fall schedule isn’t set i stone yet, they did unfortunately DENY a fall tour with THE MAINE. I’m sure they’ll head out on the road with them sometime again soon, no worries! What’s their favorite part about visiting New York; the fans or the pizza? What’s the most overused joke in the band? How does one who was originally majoring in law at university switch into performing in a rock band? What This Century member was that? What was most interesting about conducting the interview with THIS CENTURY was their surrounding fans. It’s evident in the way their fans interact with them that they truly do love what This Century is. Fans outside of the venue kept their eyes close on the members of This Century and out of the corner of my eye, I even saw some of them snapping away a couple of pictures. All of the success they have obtained is very well much deserved. Their humble in their ways and sweet and genuine in their personalities. Their acoustic performance of “HOPEFUL ROMANTIC” proves that they’re no joke pop band. THIS CENTURY is the real deal and it’s evident in the way they present themselves, in how they perform and how much they love what they get to do day in and day out.
